Snapchat lets you share photos and videos with your friends and followers.
You can send them privately or post them publicly for 24 hours.
But sometimes you may want to remove or save your public story. Here is how you can do that.
Deleting a Snap or a Whole Story
You can delete a snap or a whole story from Snapchat easily. Follow these steps:
1. Open Snapchat and tap on your profile icon in the top-left corner.
2. Tap on “My Story” and find the snap you want to delete.
3. Swipe up from the bottom and tap on the trash can icon at the bottom-left corner.
4. Tap on “Delete” to confirm.
To delete your whole story, you need to delete all the snaps one by one.
Downloading a Snap or a Whole Story
You can also save a snap or a whole story to your phone before deleting it. Follow these steps:
1. Open Snapchat and tap on your profile icon in the top-left corner.
2. Tap on “My Story” and find the snap you want to save.
3. Swipe up from the bottom and tap on the down-arrow icon at the bottom-right corner.
4. Wait for the “Saved” message to appear at the top.
You can find the saved snap in your phone’s gallery.
To save your whole story, you need to save all the snaps one by one.
Tips and Warnings
Here are some things to remember when using Snapchat stories:
1. You can only delete or save your own public stories. You cannot do that for other users’ stories, but you can block or mute them if you don’t want to see them.
2. Be careful about what you post on your public story as anyone who follows you can see it and screenshot it within 24 hours.
If you want more privacy, you can change who can view your story in your settings.
3. You can also make private stories that are only visible to some friends or groups by tapping on “Private Story” instead of “My Story” when posting a snap.
