Now buying Electric Vehicle (EV) is going to be very cheap in Haryana. Under the Electric Vehicle (EV) policy of the Manohar government, customers will get a subsidy of Rs 3 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
At the same time, a 100% tax exemption will be available on buying electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler.
The state govt has implemented the EV policy on 10th July 2022 and it will be valid for 5 years.
There are individual benefits extended to buyers of EVs under the Government of India‘s FAME India scheme Phase II. In the categories covered under FAME Phase II Scheme, individuals would receive benefits from the Government of India.
The Haryana Government shall provide benefits to the category of vehicles not covered under the FAME-II scheme or any other similar incentive provision announced from time to time by the Government of India within the policy period.
Haryana EV Policy: Incentives
State govt employees will get a 100% interest-free loan for buying an electric vehicle.
All the registered EVs will be exempted from paying State Toll tax.
100% exemption on Motor Vehicle Tax for the first 30,000 Electric 2-wheeler vehicles(within the policy period)
1. Only a one-time Purchase Incentive will be given to the buyer within the policy period.
2. The buyer should be an individual person and the vehicle should not be in the name of the company, firm, society, etc.
3. The Vehicle should be Pure Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, or Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle.

Electric Cars Under ₹15 Lakh
According to their EV policy, the Haryana government offers a 15% subsidy for electric & hybrid vehicles priced under ₹15 lakhs. Cars such as the Tigor EV could be availed and have a cap of ₹3 lakhs.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara might also fall under this price range, and other upcoming EVs are also expected to be under this range. This step is taken in support of the EV revolution and a step into the future to encourage buyers.
The EV versions of Grand Vitara & Hyryder will be eligible for subsidy.
Electric Cars from ₹15-40 Lakh
For vehicles with a higher price range, the Haryana government offers the same 15% subsidiary but with a higher cap of ₹6 lakhs.
This would include cars such as Nexon EVs, both versions and the Honda City e: HEV as well. This also included imported cars for a limited period of time capped at ₹10 lakhs.
