Former President Donald Trump’s latest venture into the fashion industry has been met with ridicule and mockery on social media. Trump unveiled his new line of shoes at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia on Saturday, where he was greeted by a mixed reaction of cheers and boos.

The shoes, which are branded with Trump’s name and logo, come in two styles: a high-top and a low-top. The high-top version, called “The Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker”, is a shiny gold color with an American flag detail on the back.

The low-top version, called “The Victory Low-Top Sneaker”, is a white color with a red and blue stripe on the side. Both styles are priced at $399 and are available for purchase on a new website that also sells Trump’s “Victory47” perfume and cologne for $99 a bottle.

Trump claimed that his shoes were “the best shoes ever made” and that they were “made in America by American workers”.

However, many people on Twitter pointed out that the shoes were made in China, despite Trump’s previous criticism of the country and his promise to bring back manufacturing jobs to the US. Some users also questioned the quality and design of the shoes, calling them “cheap”, “ugly”, and “tacky”. Others made jokes about Trump’s shoes, comparing them to other infamous footwear such as Crocs, Uggs, and Yeezys.

Here are some of the tweets that mocked Trump’s shoes:

  • @FearedBuck: “Trump’s shoes look like something you’d find at a dollar store. They’re probably made of plastic and cardboard. #TrumpShoes”
  • @LizzyLemon: “Trump’s shoes are so ugly, they make Crocs look like Louboutins. #TrumpShoes”
  • @TheRealDave: “Trump’s shoes are the perfect gift for someone you hate. #TrumpShoes”
  • @SassySarah: “Trump’s shoes are the worst thing to happen to sneakers since Kanye West. #TrumpShoes”
  • @FunnyGuy: “Trump’s shoes are so expensive, they should come with a free pair of bone spurs. #TrumpShoes”

Trump has not responded to the criticism or the jokes about his shoes, but he has reportedly sold out of his initial stock of 10,000 pairs. He plans to release more shoes in different colors and sizes shortly.

He also hinted that he might launch other products such as hats, shirts, and ties under his brand. Trump said that his shoes and other merchandise were part of his campaign for the 2024 presidential election, where he hopes to reclaim the White House from Joe Biden.
