Tesla’s futuristic pickup truck, the Cybertruck, has proven its superior crash safety in a recent test conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The test involved a head-on collision between the Cybertruck and three different ICE (internal combustion engine) pickup trucks: the Ford F-150, the Chevrolet Silverado, and the Ram 1500.

The results were astonishing.
The Cybertruck, with its ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel exoskeleton and armored glass windows, suffered minimal damage and protected its occupants from any serious injury.

The ICE trucks, on the other hand, crumpled like tin cans and sustained severe damage to their front ends, engines, and cabins.
The occupants of the ICE trucks would have likely suffered fatal or life-threatening injuries, according to the NHTSA.
The test also showed that the Cybertruck’s electric drivetrain and battery pack did not pose any fire or explosion risk, unlike the ICE trucks’ gasoline tanks and engines.
The Cybertruck’s low center of gravity and high ground clearance also helped it avoid rollover and under-ride scenarios, which are common causes of fatalities in pickup truck crashes.

The NHTSA praised the Cybertruck for its innovative design and engineering and awarded it a five-star rating in all categories of crash safety.
The Cybertruck is expected to hit the roads in late 2023 and has already received over one million pre-orders from customers around the world.
The Cybertruck is poised to revolutionize the pickup truck market and challenge the dominance of the ICE trucks, which have been the best-selling vehicles in the US for decades.
